Latest Updates from Our Project:

Most US & CA packages are already on their way!
6 months ago – Fri, Oct 20, 2023 at 02:42:15 AM

The fulfillment partner has been busy this week sorting and shipping out all your pledges. I can confirm that most have already left the warehouse and should be on their way to you.

I know a handful have been damaged during transit, so these will need to be repacked before being sent out, though this shouldn't take too long.

If you don't receive a tracking number by the end of the weekend, first check your spam folder, and if still nothing, please reach out to me and I can check where things are and ensure you've not been forgotten.

I'm excited to hear your experiences over there!

US & Canada Fulfillment
6 months ago – Mon, Oct 16, 2023 at 10:35:48 PM

Hi everyone

I wanted to drop a note to let you know that the fulfillment in the US and Canada was delayed due to an issue with the fulfillment partner (another shipment arrived just before ours did and we were held up in the queue and I wasn't informed about this in time). I sent out an email to all impacted backers last week with more specific details. Please check your spam folder if you didn't see it coming in - the subject is "US and CA fulfillment."

I didn't post here as I know that all preorders outside of Kickstarter are also impacted and I didn't want anyone to miss this information - I can see now I should also have posted an update.

At the weekend they told me that they expect to process today or tomorrow (Tuesday 17th / Wednesday 18th October) - I'm waiting for the final confirmation this will happen.

Once the packes are sent out, you'll receive an email from noreply at shiphero dot com with tracking details.

I'm sorry about this delay - it's an extra unexpected few weeks on top of an already longer than expected delay from the original shipment date. Based on the information I was given, you should have all received the games by now.

I'll add another update once I know for sure this is being processed.

Freight, Videos, new Kickstarter & Spiel!
7 months ago – Sun, Sep 17, 2023 at 05:54:22 AM

I'm excited to be updating you all today. There's an update on the freight-shipment front, but we've also got news regarding our How-to-play video, Spiel and the upcoming Kickstarter campaign for our brand new game! So let's get into it...

US & Canadians - nearly there!

The US & Canada freight shipment to the USA is somewhere now in the middle of the Atlantic.

Assuming no crazy storms, we're expecting it to arrive in New York on 19th September.

Once through customs, they'll be taking an overland journey to Atlanta arriving on 29th September.

The games will then take the short journey to Bridge Distribution's warehouse in Smyrna for 2nd October.

Bridge takes over then and will take a day or two before they're in the US postal system and taking their final journey to your homes!

How to play video

A while ago I got behind the microphone and recorded the audio and Jose has been busy doing his incredible magic turning this into our brand new how to play video!

At the moment this single 9 minute video covers the Party and Full mode, along with all the different aspects of the game needed to fully understand and play.

We will very likely split this up into two separate videos for the party and full mode, giving a shorter intro to those wanting to dive right into the party mode.

Almost ready to launch another Kickstarter!

It seems that nothing can truly stop the creative (and other) juices from flowing. While I've been focused this year on getting Gay Sauna the Board Game out into the wild, I managed to spare a little time and put together something new.

Together with our growing community of Board Gaymers in Amsterdam, we've been playtesting this new game for several months and ironing out the (unwanted) kinks and we're really excited to be launching our new card game...

The Dick Sits - You play as a hungry butt and you need to sit on dicks!

It's a card game for 2-8 players that takes 15-30 minutes to play. It works well as a spicier alternative to light card games like Exploding Kittens, with a simple "combat" mechanic familiar to monster fighting games like Munchkin. We're excited to bring you all another chance to laugh your butts off and get them onto the next big challenging dick!

The campaign will go live in October and you can already follow our Kickstarter preview page to be alerted as soon as it's launched - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/rerollworks/the-dick-sits

Spiel Essen planning

There's nothing quite like the buzz of board game convention halls and we're so excited to be coming back Spiel Essen. And this year we're doing it bigger and better.

We've teamed up with our friends at BARPIG to bag ourselves a fantastic spot in Hall 2 this year and we're all set to bring you an awesome Gay Sauna experience!

All the preparations are coming along nicely, a big team coming along to demo. You'll be able to get your copy of the game, the expansion and a bunch of merchandise.

We'll also have the latest prototypes for The Dick Sits available to play.

So if you'll be there, please drop by - we'd love to see you!

So very very near the finish line!

August has been an incredibly intense month. Once the overwhelming joy of the games arriving died down a bit, the hard work started to get all the pledges prepared, packed and shipped. I've been clocking up the hours at our warehouse to get this done as quickly as possible, and...

I'm so over the moon to let you all know We have now packaged up over 800 pledges! We've got just a small handful left that are awaiting a couple of items of merchandise to arrive (being reprinted due to an error in production).

BUT there's still a few steps in the process:

All the US and Canadian pledges are prepared and will head out to our fulfillment partner (Bridge Dist) on Monday. Once they arrive, they'll be making the last leg of the journey from their hub in Goergia. We've already done most of the hard work in boxing up the orders, so this should go very smoothly and quickly. They're also going to be taking care of our US online sales going forwards, so we're sending a stock of games to them to warehouse for us.

For all the remaining orders, we've been able to take advantage of all the experience we've gained these weeks and knock them out of the park! They're all now ready and waiting and will be handed over to the postal service on Monday.

All boxed up and ready to go!

For the few orders (less than 10) left, I expect the merch to arrive by midweek and I'll get them sent out as soon as possible once that arrives. We're also going to be able to fully catch up on all the webshop sales this month, although most of these are also part of the batch awaiting pickup.

I've got a few more lose ends to tie up. Including reviewing pledges and pre-orders to ensure we've not missed anyone, updating both BackerKit and Kickstarter and ensuring the webshop has the right settings - plus a bunch more really boring admin things...

Have to admit I'm feeling a bit tired after all this hard work - luckily I'm off to a nice festival tomorrow in Amsterdam (Superflirt) to relax and unwind a bit!

I'll update here once everything has been wrapped up! I've also got some really big and exciting stuff to share with you all from our presence at Essen this year to announcing a brand new game we'll be launching a campaign for very soon!

Update on merchandise, fulfilment and product
9 months ago – Sun, Aug 13, 2023 at 01:49:22 PM

Hello everyone!

The last few days have been pretty insane and eventful. In addition to working hard with help from my husband and some awesome friends on the fulfilment, I found a moment to smash my toe with a tape dispenser and head to the emergency room for an X-ray to make sure nothing was broken. Pretty much recovered now and I've even made friends with the dispenser again after ignoring it for a day or so :D

Merchandise

We've had a bit of a hiccup with the merchandise - one of the deliveries went missing on arrival and the other has a production error. I'm talking with the producers to see what can be done, but it means pledges containing T-Shirts, Towels and Hoodies might need to wait a short while longer. As soon as I have more concrete info, I'll let you all know.

Fulfilment

We've sent out almost all of the Netherlands pledges. As we needed to make a bit of space in the storage unit so we have also prepared all the German pledges (without merch) and these will be handed to the postal service tomorrow. We have also already started preparing the US and Canadian pledges - this is about half of the entire run, so it'll take some time to complete this, but things are progressing much faster than we had anticipated so the end of August is looking easily achievable.

Product

While we did a lot to ensure an accurate product, sometimes mistakes happen. Given this is our first game, we figured we wouldn't be able to escape unscathed and indeed there are 2 issues with the print we wanted to let you all know about.

The first is in the core game and is related to the reference cards that we created for informing players of the turn sequence and options. These are double-sided, with the Full and Party versions on different sides. 5 of these cards printed well, but the 6th has the incorrect back and so is missing the Party rules. The consequence is if you're playing the Party version with 6 people, 2 players will need to share the card.

Replace the card on the left with the one on the right for the perfect balance

The second is related to the NSFW expansion that incorrectly includes 21 Guy Next Door characters and only 19 Twinks where there should be 20 of both. For gameplay this will have a minimal effect so you needn't do anything. However if you want to have the true balance, you can remove the NSFW Guy Next Door card called Ryan and replace with the Twink card called Sebastian from the core game. This will give you the correct distribution and intended 120 character set.

One of the 6 incorrectly has this Visitor background...

Overall we're happy with the final result - while we'd love to not have had any issues, at least we're confident that there's nothing detrimental to your gaming experiences.

I guess that's all for now - I'll get back to preparing shipments!
